Denver Chalk Art Festival

What chalk art festival would be complete without a portrait of Albert Einstein?
On a recent Saturday, we took a light rail train downtown to check out the chalk art festival in Larimer Square and get a glimpse of the new transportation center in Lodo. 
We decided to go in the morning, hoping to beat large crowds, afternoon heat and possible thundershowers.  Most of the artwork was in early stages of completion.  A few samples of artwork and a couple of pictures from the Union Station transit area are shown here.
